Hello Everyone!

Welcome to my little web site! My name is Sammy. My family calls me Sammy Bone. Yes, I AM the 'ORIGINAL' Sammybone! !! Beware of other un-authorized imitators using my name!

I am 13.5 years old and I live in Coquitlam, BC with my Mom, Dad and Tommy (these are Humans). I love going to May and Al’s (also Humans) house for visits. I also have a baby brother named Kramer (click to his web site), who is still living in Yorkton. My favourite pastime is going outside and protecting our backyard from foreign intruders such as birds, snakes, deer and other cats.

In Loving Memory of our 'Little Boy', Sammy
October 15, 1990 to May 25, 2004

Sammy came to our family on Sunday, December 16, 1990. We saw an ad in the local Yorkton newspaper and decided to go have a look. It was about 5pm when we arrived at the farm and saw a litter of kittens in the yard. As soon as we got out of our car, a little blonde kitten came running towards us. It was at that moment we knew he was the one for us.

We loved this little boy!!! He became an instant member of our Family. He was so very well mannered. He did not scratch the furniture, did not bite, ALWAYS used his litter box and ALWAYS, ALWAYS slept at home EVERY night! He puts on a birthday hat whenever we had a birthday and a Santa hat during Christmas Day. He was ALWAYS there by our side for comfort whenever one of us was sick.

Sammy moved with Mom and Dad to Vancouver, BC, on July 1, 1997 and was very happy there. He enjoyed the big city life of going out for car rides. He spends a great deal of time outside, in the backyard, hunting for birds and snakes, which he loved to bring back to the door to let us know. After supper, there was the nightly cuddling with Mom and Dad. Sammy was in fact their ‘little boy’.

On November 20, 2003, Sammy became ill and the next day, the Vet’s X-Ray indicated that Sammy has cancer in his abdominal area. We took Sammy to another Vet for a second opinion the very next day and decided to let the Vet perform surgery on November 25, 2003. The surgery went well but the Doctor could not remove all the tumours. Sammy returned home on November 28, 2003 and recovered very quickly. It was on April 20, 2004, that we discovered a hard lump on Sammy’s stomach area and the Ultrasound indicated the cancer came back and spread to other areas. Sammy’s condition deteriorated steadily until we decided to have him put down on Tuesday, May 25, 2004, 4:49pm PST. That entire day, Sammy did not eat much and was very tired which made things easier. After 15 seconds of the injection, Sammy was gone - forever. Even during the last car ride, Sammy looked out the window to take in the big city view.

We love Sammy VERY MUCH and will ALWAYS miss him for ALL the love and happiness he has brought to our family. We want the entire world to know about our little boy, Sammy.
